Five CSO Fairs (three in Chişinău and one in Cahul and one in Bălţi) were held under the slogan „Cunoaşte ONG-ul care te reprezintă”. 111 CSOs presented their activities and services to the citizens. Young people and students, who were interested in actively helping the organizations, found out which available activities best suit their interests. Parents have found activities for their children, as well as for themselves.

As a result, 5 CSOs recruited new volunteers, and a web hosting company offered six months of free hosting for their websites on their server plus a 40% discount for the extension of the contract. All three CSO Fairs were highly appreciated by the CSOs participants. “We thank you from the bottoms of our hearts for organizing this event! Taking into account we are overloaded with work, this experience was a real pleasure! We have met our peers; we have showed our work as well. We will definitely participate in future Fairs. We wish you all the best and congratulate you to a successful organization,” said Ludmila Popovici, Executive Director at RCTV Memoria.

The CSO Fair is an event that highlights what being a CSO means, what services they offer and how to access these services. CSOs showcase their activities through brochures, pictures and posters. Volunteers and CSOs’ leaders are present to answer questions about their organization’s work and how it helps Moldovans address civic and social issues. Visitors are able to sign up with CSOs to become volunteers. CSO Fair aims to become a major public event, a tradition and a celebration of civil society organizations.
